   Like all complex projects it depends, but now that there are plentiful salvage parts from Leafs, Volts, and Teslas around it could be done for $10k in parts. That leaves little margin for error though, for a first timer multiple that by 1.5-2. Unless you’re trying to achieve something really special, a used production EV is a more economical choice.
